About us

Colorful left over yarn on shelves with a table and chairs in a room setting

A wish to create something that feels like home

Our story

It started with colours, leftover yarn and a wish to create something that feels like home.

Loopelle Atelier grew out of a love for handmade details and the joy of turning forgotten materials into something beautiful. Every piece begins with a simple loop — a soft swirl of colour — and ends as a small artwork for your home.

What began as a personal creative practice quickly became a vision:
to offer home decor that feels warm, intentional and meaningful.
Not mass-produced. Not identical. But something that reflects the soul of the hands that made it.

Loopelle is for the ones who love playful colours, nostalgic textures and pieces that make a room feel alive.
Every product carries a story, and we hope it becomes part of yours too.

Made by caring hands

Our products are handmade by a small circle of dedicated creators — including myself, Mathilde Lund Hansen. I am 24, deeply passionate about colours, creativity and the calm that comes from working with my hands. Loopelle Atelier began as my personal way of turning leftover yarn into something meaningful, and today I still create many of the pieces myself.

But I am not alone.

I also collaborate with wonderful senior crocheters who bring years of skill, patience and heart into their craft. We provide the yarn, the designs and the guidance — they bring the magic. For many of them, this work brings joy, purpose and a creative rhythm to their everyday lives. Their involvement adds soul to every piece and ensures that each product carries a story shaped by real human hands.

No two products are the same — because no two makers are the same.
Every loop is formed by steady, experienced hands.
Every colour combination reflects a shared moment of creativity.

When you bring a Loopelle piece into your home, you support not only sustainable craftsmanship, but also the meaningful connection between generations — and a community built on creativity and care.

A sustainable mission

At Loopelle Atelier, sustainability isn’t a trend — it’s the foundation of everything we make.

We work almost exclusively with leftover yarn and textile waste, turning materials that would otherwise be discarded into long-lasting, joyful decor. By producing in small batches, we avoid overproduction and celebrate slow design over fast consumption.

Our “Donate Yarn” initiative allows customers to join our circular mission:
you donate yarn → we create something new → and you receive a thank-you discount for being part of the process.

All production is local, transparent and rooted in respect for both people and materials.
We believe that beautiful things become even more beautiful when they do good.
